How Orchid makes sure its assistant never drops a message
Orchid is an executive assistant that lives in iMessage: it texts you your day each morning, drafts your replies and books your meetings. The same team builds Keiki, a platform for creating AI agents that act across SMS, iMessage, WhatsApp, Slack, email and more.
Orchid uses Polylane to watch the message, email and calendar paths its users rely on, catch what breaks, and open the fix for review.

The challenge
An assistant is only as good as its reliability. Orchid connects to its users' iMessage, email and calendars, and a message that never arrives or a meeting that never gets booked breaks the one promise it makes.
With a small team shipping quickly, nobody can watch every integration and every job around the clock.
“Orchid texts people their day every morning and books their meetings, so a missed message or a failed booking is something they feel right away. Polylane catches those before our users do and hands us the fix.”
Adam Wazzan Co-founder & CTO at Orchid Why Polylane
Polylane maps Orchid's stack on Railway and learns what normal looks like for each path a message takes. When something drifts, it raises an issue with the evidence, investigates across code, deploys and telemetry, and opens the fix when the cause is in Orchid's code.
The results
In Orchid's first 13 days, Polylane monitored 2,765 cloud resources on Railway, reviewed 462 pull requests against live production and surfaced 52 issues, with a median of 12 minutes from detection to a fix ready for review. Orchid merged 34 of the 51 pull requests Polylane opened (67%), the first on the day it connected.
