My database on Turso is down. What should I do?

Check status.turso.tech first. If Turso reports nothing, check your usage in the dashboard, since going over your plan's limits can block writes, and check that your auth token hasn't expired or been revoked. If a migration or a bad write caused it, create a database from a point in time before the change.

  1. 1 Check Turso's status status.turso.tech lists incidents by service and location. If yours shows one, the problem is upstream.
  2. 2 Check usage against your plan The dashboard shows rows read and written and storage against your plan's limits. Going over them can block writes until the next period or an upgrade.
  3. 3 Check how you connect Use the database URL with a token for that database. An expired or revoked token fails every request, and a read-only token fails every write.
  4. 4 Restore if the data changed Turso can create a new database from a point in time before a bad migration or write, so you can check the data and switch over.

How we resolve active incidents

  1. 1 Rapid onboarding A Polylane engineer reaches out, connects Polylane to your clouds, code and telemetry, and confirms what's affected.
  2. 2 Investigation & mitigation Polylane's agents investigate across logs, metrics, traces and recent changes, and an engineer works with you on the right mitigation.
  3. 3 Remediation, validation & monitoring The fix lands in your repo for your team to review. Polylane checks that things are back to normal and keeps watching every deploy after it.

Check status.turso.tech. If it shows no incident, check your usage limits and your auth token, the two usual causes of requests failing.

Why are writes failing on Turso?

Usually you've gone over your plan's write or storage limits, or the token you use is read-only. The dashboard shows your usage.

How do I recover from a bad migration on Turso?

Create a new database from a point in time before the migration, check the data, then point your app at it.

Who will help me with a Turso incident?
